On the 20th August Keller Group Plc announced the withdrawal from their non-core Makers business. Terms of sale have now been agreed on the various divisions of Makers as follows:-

Allied Division
The Allied Division, comprising Makers’ mechanical and electrical business, was sold to management on 7 September 2007. Allied continue to operate from their head office in Newmarket.

Social Housing Division
The sale of Makers Social Housing Division was completed on 28th September 2007 to Mears Group PLC, the AIM-listed social housing repair and maintenance provider. The new business will trade under the name of Mears Projects Division.

Infrastructure Division
The sale of Makers Northern Infrastructure Division was completed on the 10th October to Freyssinet Limited. The new business will trade under the name Makers Freyssinet.

Car Park Division
The car park division has now been sold to the Management in an MBO, this sale was completed on 21st December 2007. All the existing staff and employees are being retained and the business will now trade forward as Makers Parking Ltd. A new web site is currently being created and will be found at www.makersparking.co.uk. In the meantime please refer to the original Makers Car Park Division web site.
